Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (formerly Yorkhill Children’s Charity) supports the 160,000 babies, children and young people treated at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow every year.

The hospital is Scotland’s largest children’s hospital and cares for children from across Scotland and beyond. Although the hospital moved from the Yorkhill site in June 2015, the charity is continuing the care and legacy of Yorkhill for children today, tomorrow and for generations to come.

The generosity of donors, fundraisers and volunteers enables Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to fund:

  • Enhanced medical equipment to help doctors, nurses and surgeons deliver world-class care.
  • Innovative play programmes that help to distract, teach and treat children during their stay.
  • Family support services that care for parents, families and carers during difficult times, including pull-down beds in every room of the hospital, so that parents and carers can stay by their child’s side day and night.
  • Groundbreaking paediatric research to help future generations of Scotland’s children.

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity has already invested £5.5million in the Royal Hospital for Children and with The BIG Stampede’s support, the charity can continue to provide patients and their families with the best possible care.
